UK volunteer Pamela Supports Marginalized Women Entrepreneurship Development Program
A two-days training session of doll making, Sani Gudiya was organized by Alternatives for the marginalized, single and disable women from 23-24 October,2009 at the Alternatives training hall. The program started with the welcome speech from Mr. Jiban Baral where he clarified the importance of entrepreneurial efforts of the marginalized women in Nepal.

Alternatives launched Uddhyam Sikchya Abhiyaan
Alternatives launched Uddhyam Sikchya Abhiyaan from Bal Mandir School one of the oldest schools of Pokhara on the special occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009. This program is a youth social enterprise and school partnership program for promoting youth entrepreneurship education in local schools amongst Pokhara valley and outskirt.

Press Meet on Global Entrepreneurship Week-2009
Alternatives, Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Federation (NYEF)-Pokhara, BIG FM and Development Voyage are jointly organizing various programs on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week-2009. In a joint statement issued Monday, the organizers said the Week, celebrated between November 16 to November 22 by organizations all over the world working to spur the youth and entrepreneurship, aims to play an important role in the development of entrepreneurship around the world.
